Join local author Julie Rumrill at the MorrisPublic Library on January 18, 2023, 6:30 pm, for an inspirational talk abouther highly acclaimed memoir, Finding Mary.

Julie will speakabout memoir writing, the difficulties of unresolved grief, and the triumph ofthe human spirit. An open discussion and a book signing will follow the talk.

Julie Rumrill grew up in the quiet corner of Thompson,Connecticut and currently lives near the shore in West Haven. Julie isa faculty member in the Department of Earth Science at SouthernConnecticut State University and Senior Consultant for Team TrainingAssociates, LLC. She holds an M.S. in Geology, teaching certifications inMindfulness and Yoga, and is currently working toward a doctorate in educationat the University of Hartford. In addition to her academic life, Julie leads mindful writing workshops foraspiring writers, and mental resilience training for public safety, NGOs andcorporate organizations. When she is not writing, teaching, or leadingworkshops, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading, rock collecting, and spendingprecious time with family.
