Lane Closures Expected with Rowley Street Bridge Replacement

Lane Closures Expected with Rowley Street Bridge Replacement
0Comments

The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation has begun the process of replacing the Rowley Street Bridge near the intersection of South Main Street.  This is the bridge that  carries traffic over the Mad River, near the Town’s ball fields.  Up  until May 23rd, partial lane closures should be expected in that area  between the working hours of 9AM and 3PM.  Beginnning May 23rd, complete  lane closures should be expected until the project’s anticipated end  date of September 11th.

Please note the suggested detour, provided  by the DOT to avoid the construction zone, is to head down Route 8  (southbound), get off at Pinewoods Road exit, take a right, and then  another right at the traffic light to access Rowley Street via  Torrington Road.
