Whitmer of Come Home to ConnecticutTM will present anillustrated program exploring what monuments to the dead and the words on themreveal about a person, and the clues they provide for further research. McCain and Whitmer are professionalhistorians and genealogists. McCain was on the staff of the ConnecticutHistorical Society for 25 years, and is a free-lance writer and researcher andthe author of six books. Whitmer is past president of the Connecticut Societyof Genealogists and is a Certified Genealogist.
