Town Of Winchester issued the following announcement.
The Winsted Water Works will conduct the annual water main flushing program in sections of Winsted starting Thursday, April 7, 2022. The first areas to be flushed will be Rockwell St, Ridge Street, Cherry Street, Finn Street, Orchard Street, Hurlbut Street, and Birdsall Street. The purpose of the water main flushing is for routine maintenance.
Water main flushing will take place between the hours of 7 AM to 3:30PM. Please note the flushing process may cause discolored water and reduction in pressure. The discoloration of water will be temporary. If the condition persists, please contact the Department of Public Works at (860) 379-4101.
