Ace Hardware of Litchfield to give away American flags

Ace Hardware of Litchfield will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Connecticut lost 239 soldiers in the Korean war and 344 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 348 Bantam Rd, Litchfield will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Alexander Gregorek Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Ace Hardware of Litchfield while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Ace Hardware of Litchfield is located at 348 Bantam Rd, Litchfield, Connecticut. This location is owned by Roger Mahieu Jr and represented by Mary Calder-Ricci.
