NOTE
The Public Works Department has an obligation to maintain safe roads and travel. At times, unknowingly, residents plants trees that impede the Town’s Right of Way which then grow into the road sides causing hazards. Fences are placed in the Town’s Right of Way and at times impede visibility or obscure the site lines. These trees and fences also can get damaged by snow when plowing.
When doing maintenance the residents get upset when we have to rectify these problems. Please go to the Town’s website and look at the GIS to see the Town’s Right of Way before planting or placing anything near the roads. This can eliminate aggravation on both sides and keep everyone safe.
