The Morris Public Library welcomes Morris author, playwright and researcher Jan Henson Dow for her new presentation “Quantum Theory and Eastern Wisdom. Reveal the Basic Oneness of the Universe,” Thursday, May 12, 6:30 PM.

At the heart of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism is the idea of Oneness – that the self is intertwined with other people, creatures, and things.

Now, a consistent world view is beginning to emerge from modern physics that is harmonious with this ancient wisdom. This talk will discuss the discoveries in Quantum physics and how they support the ancient belief that everything is connected to everything else and the paradox that there are no “things.”

Jan is an author, researcher and an award-winning playwright, including an NBC New Voices Award. Her plays have received numerous productions, workshops, and staged readings around the country. Jan is Professor Emeritus at Western Connecticut State University. She now lives in Morris, CT.
