WARNING OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF MORRIS
Monday April 3, 2023 at 6:30 p.m.

 
The electors of the Town of Morris and those persons eligible to vote in Town Meetings in said Town, are hereby warned and notified to meet in the Morris Community Hall, 3 East Street, Morris, Connecticut on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. for the Special Town Meeting for the following purposes:
                         
1.      To consider and approve the East Shore Road Paving Project, to authorize the use of Small Town Economic Assistance Program (“STEAP”) funds not to exceed the amount of $500,000.00 for said project, and to appropriate a sum not to exceed $170,000 from Capital Non Recurring Unassigned as recommended by the Board of Finance, for a total expenditure not to exceed $670,000.

2.      To adopt an interlocal agreement with Town of Harwinton to share an animal control facility and animal control officer commencing July 1, 2023.
 
3.      To elect one (1) regular member to the Regional School District No. 6 Board of Education for a term commencing July 1, 2023, and ending December 31, 2024.
 
4.      To elect one (1) regular member to the Morris Housing Authority for a term commencing  July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2028.
 
5.      To authorize the Board of Selectmen to enter into agreements with the State of Connecticut and/or Government of the United States of America to apply for and accept any grants that may become available and to expend funds for fiscal year 2023-2024; provided, however no expenditure of Town funds may be made without approval of the Board of Finance for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2023.
