Town Of Winchester issued the following announcement.
The Winsted Water Works will conduct the annual water main flushing program in sections of Winsted starting Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
The first areas to be flushed will be W Wakefield Blvd, Woodland Ave, Laurel St, Cook St, John St, Hubbard St, Lake St and Boyd St.
 The purpose of the water main flushing is for routine maintenance.
Water  main flushing will take place between the hours of 7 AM to 3:30PM.  The  flushing process may cause discolored water and reduction in pressure.  The discoloration of water will be temporary.  If the condition  persists, please contact the Water Department at (860) 379-4101.Â
