Town Of Winchester: Winchester’s Revaluation Process to Begin in Late March
0Comments

Town Of Winchester issued the following announcement on March 15.

The Town of Winchester Assessors’ Office will soon commence the State-mandated revaluation project. The revaluation will be effective on the October 1, 2022 Grand List.   The town’s last revaluation was completed in 2017. Connecticut state  law requires a complete town-wide real estate revaluation every five  years.

The Town has hired Municipal Valuation Services (Munival) to assist the Town with this revaluation. Munival is a  Connecticut-based revaluation company built on a foundation of valuation  experience and local market expertise.  Their three (3) principals,  Chris Kerin, Mike Fazio, and David Herbst, are MAI appraisers, with over  80 years of combined appraisal experience in the Connecticut market.

As  part of the revaluation process, every homeowner will be receiving a  data verification letter via US Mail in the month of March.  This letter  will outline specific characteristics about your property.  Please review the letter and make any necessary corrections directly on the form and return to Municipal Valuation Services.

Municipal  Valuation Services will also have people throughout the Town of  Winchester taking exterior photos of each property during the spring and  summer months.  All Munival employees will have a Town badge and a  company badge.  They will also have magnets on their vehicles and the  company logo on their attire.

Thank you for your cooperation as  the Town partners to complete the 2022 Revaluation.  Please feel free to  contact Munival directly with any questions at (203) 292-5500.
